Filipendula vulgaris is a species of perennial herb in the family Rosaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have compound, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Halictus tumulorum, Eristalis tenax, Sphecodes ephippius, and Lasioglossum lativentre. Individuals can grow to 0.36 m.
