Description

Shrub or small tree up to 3 m tall. Bark brown with conspicuous whitish lenticels; young branches densely covered in glandular hairs. Leaves green to bluish-green; leaflets 12-20, oblong-elliptic, 1-3.5 cm long, often slightly notched at the apex, somewhat asymmetric at the base; margin entire. Stipules conspicuous, sheathing the very young leaves but very soon deciduous. Flowers in sprays in the upper leaf axils, together often appearing as a terminal inflorescence, yellow to orange, flushed reddish. Fruit of 4-8 elliptic to semicircular articles, each c. 7 × 6 mm, joined by very narrow necks, hairless or sparsely ciliate when young.
