They are native to Alagoas, Cerrado, Distrito Federal, Pernambuco, Pará, Roraima, Mexico, Bahia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Espirito Santo, GoiáS, Ceará, SãO Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Amazônia, Minas Gerais, Piauí, Caatinga, Sergipe, Mata Atlântica, and Paraná. They have achenes.
