Amorpha canescens (Leadplant) is a species of shrub in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to United States, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have compound, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Epicauta, Phyllobaenus subfasciatus, Modest Masked Bee, and Lygus pratensis. Individuals can grow to 4 feet.
