Desmodium tortuosum (Dixie Ticktrefoil) is a species of shrub in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, RondôNia, Pampa, Caatinga, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, Bahia, AmazôNia, Espirito Santo, Santa Catarina, U.S. Virgin Islands, The Contiguous United States, Sergipe, GoiáS, Roraima, Distrito Federal, Piauí, Paraná, Mato Grosso, Rio De Janeiro, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pará, Ceará, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Pantanal, ParaíBa, Puerto Rico, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande Do Norte, and Alagoas. They have compound, broad leaves and blue flowers. Individuals can grow to 9 feet.
