Onobrychis viciifolia (Esparcet) is a species of perennial herb in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have compound, broad leaves and red flowers. Flowers are visited by Andrena similis, Honey bee, Zygaena carniolica, and Andrena hattorfiana. Individuals can grow to 2.5 feet.
