Description

Bushy perennial up to 1m high, growing from a strong woody rootstock or taproot. Most parts densely silvery hairy. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets up to c. 3 × 1.5 cm, elliptic-obovate to oblanceolate; petiole 0.4-1.2 cm long; stipules absent. Flowers yellow, clustered at the ends of branches, sometimes appearing axillary due to very short branchlets. Calyx 1.1-1.4 cm long. Standard 1.4-1.8 cm long, elliptic, pubescent outside. Pod c. 1.8 cm long, narrowly oblong, pointed at the apex, densely silvery-grey velvety.
