It is native to the contiguous United States, United States, western north america, and eastern north america. Mescal Bean has compound, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Monarch. Mescal Bean fixes nitrogen. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 15 feet.
