Hemidactylus frenatus (Common House Gecko) is a species of Squamata in the family geckos. It is found in the Indo-Malayan Realm, the Afrotropics, Australasia, the Palearctic, the Neotropics, and Oceania (Australia and islands). It is a ambush predator.
