Tussilago farfara (Coltsfoot) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Turkey, Latvia, Iran, Turkmenistan, United Kingdom, Spain, Norway, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Yugoslavia, Morocco, Finland, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Sweden, Moldova, Ukraine, Albania, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Lebanon, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Russia, Belarus, Algeria, Austria, Uzbekistan, Romania, Greece, Kazakhstan, Germany, Ireland, Poland, Estonia, India, and Nepal. Coltsfoot has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Epalpus signifer (Walker 1849). Coltsfoot is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.22 m.
