Verbesina alternifolia (Wingstem) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Americas, North America, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, and Canada. They have broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Monarch, Common Eastern Bumblebee, and Augochlora. Individuals can grow to 220 cm.
