Liatris aspera is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, North America, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Hesperia leonardus, Megachile, Danaus plexippus, and Speyeria aphrodite. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m.
