Heterotheca villosa (Hairy False Goldenaster) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Polygonia gracilis zephyrus, Alexandra's Sulphur, Hemipenthes sinuosa, and Masked Bees. Individuals can grow to 4.5 feet.
