Alypia octomaculata (Eight Spotted Forester) is a species of Lepidoptera in the family owlet moths. They visit flowers of gooseneck yellow loosestrife, Wafer Ash, coneflower, and black cherry. They are nocturnal. Individuals can grow to 34 mm.
