Perennial herb, 1.5-3 m tall. Leaves imparipinnate. Petiole 4.5-15 cm long; leaflets (3-)5(-7); 4-15.5 cm long, ovate, serrate, apex acuminate, glabrous; lower leaflets petiolulate to sub-petiolulate, upper sessile to sub-sessile. Inflorescence of umbels in axillary or terminal panicles; bract and bractlet 1-2 mm long, lanceolate; pedicels and penduncles puberulous. Calyx toothed, persistent. Petals ovate. Stamens 5, filaments longer than the petals, broader at the base and alternating with the petals; anthers c. 1 mm long. Styles 5, united at the base, persistent. Ovary 5-locular. Fruit a 5-angled drupe, 2-3 mm long and c. 3 mm in diameter.
