Piper aequale is a species of shrub in the family Piperaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Paraná, Pará, GoiáS, Minas Gerais, Distrito Federal, Rio De Janeiro, Bahia, SãO Paulo, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Cerrado, Mato Grosso, and Acre (Brazil). They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 3.9 m.
