They are native to Bahia, Cerrado, Rio De Janeiro, Acre (Brazil), Roraima, Amapá, RondôNia, U.S. Virgin Islands, Rio Grande Do Norte, Amazônia, Puerto Rico, Sergipe, Pernambuco, The Contiguous United States, Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Mato Grosso, ParaíBa, SãO Paulo, Caatinga, Mata Atlântica, Paraná, Ceará, Piauí, Maranhao, Rio Grande Do Sul, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Espirito Santo, Santa Catarina, GoiáS, Alagoas, Pampa, Distrito Federal, and Pará. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.094 m.
