Spizella passerina (Chipping Sparrow) is a species of birds in the family Passerellidae. It is found in the Nearctic and the Neotropics. It is a diurnal granivore. Individuals are known to live for 11.8 years and can grow to 15.5 g. Reproduction is dioecious.
