Ionoxalis caerulea Small, sp. no v
Plants 8-15 cm. tall, the bulb-scales 3-ribbed ; leaves slightly shorter than the scape, the petioles glabrous ; leaflets 3, the blades S-12 mm. long, obdeltoid or somewhat lunate in outline, glabrous, bright-green above, pale-green beneath, decidedly notched at the apex ; scape glabrous; cymes 3-6-flowered ; pedicels 1.5-3 cm. long; sepals oblong to oblonglanceolate, 4.5-5 mm. long, rather obtuse, glabrous, green-margined, each bearing 2 short entire apical tubercles; petals blue, 14-16 mm. long; shorter filaments glabrous; longer filaments pubescent, each with an appendage on the back below the middle.

Distribution : New Mexico.
