Telephium are a genus of flowering plants in the family Molluginaceae or Caryophyllaceae, found in Mediterranean parts of Europe, Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and western Asia.[2] They are annual or perennial herbs, sometimes becoming woody at their bases.[3] Together with Corrigiola they form the tribe Corrigioleae.[4]
The generic name is derived from a Greek word for a plant thought to be a symbol of reciprocated love ("far-off-lover").[5]

Wronilec (Telephium) – rodzaj roślin z rodziny goździkowatych obejmujący ok. 6 gatunków występujących w basenie Morza Śródziemnego, w Azji południowo-zachodniej oraz na Madagaskarze[3].
Byliny z drewniejącą nasadą. Łodygi wzniesione. Liście skrętoległe, z błoniastymi przylistkami. Kwiaty zebrane w baldachogronach. Działki kielicha w liczbie 5, tyle samo płatków korony i pręcików. Szyjki słupka 3, zalążnia trójkanciasta. Owocem jest torebka otwierająca się 3 łatkami[3].
Rodzaj zaliczany jest do plemienia Corrigioleae i podrodziny Paronychioideae w obrębie rodziny goździkowatych[4]. Przez niektórych autorów rodzaj zaliczany jest do rodziny ugłastowatych (Molluginaceae)[3].
