They are native to Rio Grande Do Sul, Pantanal, Puerto Rico, Pernambuco, Pampa, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mato Grosso, AmazôNia, Acre (Brazil), Distrito Federal, Cerrado, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Minas Gerais, RondôNia, Maranhao, The Contiguous United States, Roraima, Sergipe, Tocantins, North America, Alagoas, Pará, Paraná, Eastern North America, Rio De Janeiro, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mata AtlâNtica, Amapá, Santa Catarina, Bahia, and Caatinga. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 3.3 feet.
