Poa pratensis (Kentucky Bluegrass) is a species of perennial grass in the family True grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Greenland, Canada, Alaska, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, North America, Western North America, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Lithuania, Switzerland, Denmark, Poland, Georgia, Italy, Armenia, France, Mongolia, United Kingdom, Hungary, Greece, Iran, The Netherlands, Romania, Albania, Svalbard And Jan Mayen, Russia, Cyprus, Belgium, Portugal, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Czech Republic, Spain, Norway, Pakistan, Estonia, Germany, India, Ireland, China, Yugoslavia, Syria, Ukraine, Sweden, Austria, Bulgaria, Moldova, Finland, and Latvia. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Hylotoma Latreille 1802, Phor, Hylemya, and digger wasp. Individuals can grow to 61 cm.
