Panicum repens (Torpedo Grass) is a species of perennial grass in the family True grasses. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is associated with freshwater habitat. Torpedo Grass is native to Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Italy, China, Zambia, Egypt, Guinea, Thailand, Albania, Madagascar, Japan, Lebanon, Morocco, Libya, Philippines, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Côte d’Ivoire, Cyprus, Southeast Asia, Sudan, Indonesia, Senegal, Yugoslavia, Cameroon, Spain, Ethiopia, Nepal, Malaysia, Angola, Botswana, Uganda, France, Yemen, Liberia, Nigeria, Portugal, Namibia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, South Africa, Syria, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Mali, Swaziland, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Israel, Greece, Turkey, Algeria, India, Jordan, and Tunisia. It has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.67 m.
