Rottboellia cochinchinensis (Itchgrass) is a species of annual grass in the family True grasses. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Namibia, Sri Lanka, Kenya, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Laos, India, Taiwan, Angola, Zambia, Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Fiji, Australia, the Philippines, South Korea, China, Réunion, Burkina Faso, Malaysia, Southeast Asia, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritius, Liberia, Guinea, Benin, Senegal, Solomon Islands, Mozambique, Madagascar, The Gambia, Nigeria, Ghana, North Korea, Ethiopia, New Guinea, Sudan, Uganda, Japan, Nepal, Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania, Somalia, Botswana, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. Itchgrass has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 4 m.
