Rottboellia cochinchinensis (Itchgrass) is a species of annual grass in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to New Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Australia, India, Burkina Faso, South Korea, Ethiopia, Sudan, The Philippines, China, Ghana, Somalia, Gambia, Uganda, Zambia, Benin, Thailand, Taiwan, Guinea, Indonesia, Tanzania, Réunion, Nepal, Japan, Liberia, Cameroon, Nigeria, Madagascar, North Korea, Solomon Islands, Namibia, Angola, Fiji, Myanmar, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Mozambique, Kenya, Mauritius, Laos, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, South Africa, Vietnam, Senegal, Equatorial Guinea, and Sierra Leone. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 4 m.
