Cyperus compressus (Poorland Flatsedge) is a species of annual herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to GoiáS, Pará, Roraima, RondôNia, Rio De Janeiro, Acre (Brazil), Minas Gerais, Bahia, Alagoas, Piauí, Pantanal, Sergipe, Mata Atlântica, Caatinga, Amapá, Amazônia, Distrito Federal, Tocantins, Rio Grande Do Norte, Maranhao, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mato Grosso, Pernambuco, Espirito Santo, ParaíBa, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, SãO Paulo, Cerrado, Ceará, and Mato Grosso Do Sul. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 1 feet.
