Cyperus amabilis (Foothill Flat Sedge) is a species of annual grass in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Pernambuco, Rio Grande Do Norte, Maranhao, Alagoas, Tocantins, GoiáS, Minas Gerais, Cerrado, ParaíBa, Amazônia, Ceará, Mato Grosso, Piauí, Bahia, The Contiguous United States, Pará, Caatinga, and Sergipe. They have simple, broad leaves.
