Cyperus amabilis (Foothill Flatsedge) is a species of annual grass in the family sedges. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is associated with freshwater habitat. Foothill Flatsedge is native to the contiguous United States, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Caatinga, Alagoas, Cerrado, Tocantins, Maranhao, Amazônia, Paraíba, Mato Grosso, Pará, Bahia, Goiás, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe, Pernambuco, and Piauí. It has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph.
