Vanilla pompona (West Indian Vanilla) is a species of perennial herb in the family orchids. They are climbers. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to Minas Gerais, Cerrado, AmazôNia, AmazôNia, Pernambuco, RondôNia, GoiáS, Tocantins, Pará, ParaíBa, Amapá, Maranhao, and Mato Grosso. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 16 m.
