Geranium bellum Rose, Contr. U. S. Nat. Herb. 10 : 108. 1906
Perennial, the caudex branched. Stems ascending or decumbent, 1-4 dm. long, branched, hirsute ; leaf-blades pentagonal in outline, 2.5-4 cm. wide, finely hirsute on both sides, 3-5-parted, the divisions 2-pinnatifid, the ultimate lobes narrow, mostly divaricate ; pedicels hirsute ; sepals awn-tipped, the outer ones 10-12 mm. long, the bodies elliptic or elliptic-lanceolate, hirsute ; petals white, 16-19 mm. long ; style-column about 30 mm. long, hirsute ; carpel-bodies 5-6 mm. long.
Type locality : Sierra de Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico. Distribution : Hidalgo.
