Phenacogaster megalostictus és una espècie de peix de la família dels caràcids i de l'ordre dels caraciformes.

Morfologia

• Els mascles poden assolir 3,7 cm de llargària total.^[4]

Hàbitat

Viu a zones de clima tropical entre 22°C - 27°C de temperatura.^[5]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a Sud-amèrica: conca del riu Essequibo a la Guaiana.^[4]

Phenacogaster megalostictus is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de karperzalmen (Characidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1909 door Eigenmann.

大斑平腹脂鯉，為輻鰭魚綱脂鯉目脂鯉亞目脂鯉科的其中一個種。分布於南美洲蓋亞那埃塞奎博河流域，體長可達3.7公分，棲息在底中層水域，生活習性不明。
