Eugenia uniflora (Surinam Cherry) is a species of shrub in the family myrtles. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Colombia, Belize, Guatemala, Bolivia, El Salvador, Portugal, Argentina, Nicaragua, Guyana, Venezuela, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Peru, French Guiana, Suriname, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Rio Grande do Sul, Mata Atlântica, Santa Catarina, Paraná, Pampa, Mato Grosso do Sul, Cerrado, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, and Espirito Santo. Surinam Cherry has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 33 m.
