Eugenia uniflora (Surinam Cherry) is a species of shrub in the family myrtles. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Peru, Rio Grande Do Sul, Paraguay, Santa Catarina, Guyana, Guatemala, SãO Paulo, Panama, French Guiana, Mata AtlâNtica, Mexico, Colombia, Portugal, Argentina, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Venezuela, Uruguay, Rio De Janeiro, Suriname, Belize, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Cerrado, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Brazil, Espirito Santo, Pampa, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Bahia. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 33 m.
