Polyplacophora (Chitons) is a group of molluscs. There are 1089 species of chitons, in 84 genera and 22 families. This group has been around since the Drumian Age. Chitons form shallow marine sediments. They are grazers. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is dioecious. Chitons are facultatively mobile animals.
