Test uniserial and rectilinear, may be up to 10 mm in length, chambers somewhat pyriform, with successive chambers overlapping previous ones so that sutures are obscure externally and the test is nearly cylindrical; wall thick, agglutinated of more than a single layer of fine quartz grains and tests of small foraminifers, may be only partially cemented, thickest where the new chamber overlaps that preceding, with an inner proteinaceous lining; aperture terminal, central, round.
