Spring Avens

Geum vernum (Spring Avens) is a species of perennial herb in the family Rosaceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Canada. They have yellow flowers and achenes. Flowers are visited by Peleteria robusta, Dynatosoma thoracicum, False Sunflower Cuckoo Nomad Bee, and Cerceris clypeata. Individuals can grow to 1.6 feet.
