Rangifer tarandus (Reindeer) is a species of mammals in the family Cervidae. They are listed as endangered by COSEWIC. They are native to The Nearctic, the Palearctic, United States, China, United States, Mongolia, Norway, Greenland, Russia, Canada, Svalbard And Jan Mayen, and Finland. They are diurnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 242.4 months and can grow to 2224.35 mm. Reproduction is viviparous and dioecious. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on running to move around.
