Centaurea is a genus of plants in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Western North America and North America. Flowers are visited by Gonepteryx rhamni, Eristalinus sepulchralis, Colias eurytheme, and Apis mellifera. Individuals can grow to 12 cm.
