Pluvialis apricaria (European Golden Plover) is a species of birds in the family Charadriidae. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in the Palearctic and the Afrotropics. European Golden Plover is a diurnal invertivore. Individuals can grow to 260 g. Reproduction is dioecious. European Golden Plover has parental care (pair provides care). It relies on flight to move around.
