Cygnus olor (Mute Swan) is a species of birds in the family Anatidae. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is native to Croatia, Estonia, India, Lithuania, Germany, Denmark, France, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Belarus, Russia, Australia, Finland, Turkey, Moldova, North Korea, the Netherlands, Romania, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, South Korea, Spain, Poland, Serbia And Montenegro, Portugal, Europe, Bulgaria, Greece, Austria, Latvia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, United Kingdom, Israel, Canada, Sweden, Norway, and Slovakia. Mute Swan is a diurnal herbivore. Individuals are known to live for 70 years and can grow to 14300 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Mute Swan has parental care (occasionally breeds cooperatively).
