Cygnus olor (Mute Swan) is a species of birds in the family Anatidae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Australia, Turkey, Israel, Switzerland, Italy, Belarus, Denmark, Ukraine, North Korea, Spain, United Kingdom, Ireland, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Austria, Canada, Slovenia, Portugal, the Palearctic, India, France, Latvia, South Korea, Europe, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Croatia, Russia, The Netherlands, Hungary, Moldova, Finland, Sweden, Ethiopia, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Estonia, Serbia And Montenegro, and Germany. They are diurnal herbivores. Reproduction is dioecious. They have parental care (paternal care, female provides care, and occasionally breeds cooperatively). They rely on flight to move around.
