Phalacrocorax carbo (Great Cormorant) is a species of birds in the family cormorants. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in the Indo-Malayan Realm, the Palearctic, Australasia, and the Afrotropics. Great Cormorant is a diurnal vertivore. Individuals can grow to 3700 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Great Cormorant has parental care (pair provides care).
