Morphology

provided by iArczoo

The umbrella is subdivided into 2 parts, of which the top one forms a large growth round in shape. Radial canals are wide, ribbon-shaped with numerous branching growths on the edges. The circular canal is smooth or with growths. The number of bulbs in adult specimens is 30-40, bulbs are flattened from the sides. In between the fully developed tentacles rudimentary tentacles are present. Ocelli are present. Manubrium is tetragonal. The mouth opening is large, with strongly curled edges. The radial canals are connected to the manubrium by slit-like openings. Gonads almost completely cover the walls of the manubrium and have scattered growths all over their surface; the surface of the gonads is reticulate.
