Petromyzon marinus (Sea Lamprey) is a species of lampreys in the family northern lampreys. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Mediterranean Sea, the Palearctic, United States, Asia, Atlantic Ocean, and The Nearctic. They are solitary herbivores. Individuals can grow to 120 cm. Reproduction is oviparous and semelparous. They have parental care (paternal care and female provides care).
