Silene is a genus of shrub in the family carpetweeds. They are native to Greenland, Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, and The Contiguous United States. They have capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Sphaerophoria, Pieris napi, Anthocharis cardamines, and Green-striped White. Individuals can grow to 0.15 m.
