Heracleum sphondylium montanum (American Cow Parsnip) is a subspecies of perennial herb in the family umbellifers. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, United States, Western North America, North America, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, and Alaska. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Liohippelates flavipes, Sciara inconstans, Anoplodera pubera, and Empis pudica. Individuals can grow to 3 m.
