It is native to western north america, Ireland, Algeria, Belarus, Afghanistan, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Israel, Pakistan, France, Kazakhstan, Morocco, China, Ukraine, Egypt, Hungary, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Germany, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Switzerland, Uzbekistan, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Syria, Africa, Albania, Denmark, Yugoslavia, Lebanon, India, Sweden, Iraq, Iran, Poland, Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania, and Spain. Broadleaved Pepperweed has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Gray Hairstreak. Broadleaved Pepperweed is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 0.75 m.
