Iris virginica (Virginia Iris) is a species of perennial herb in the family Iridaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and blue flowers. Flowers are visited by apoid wasp, Silver-spotted Skipper, Palamedes or Laurel Swallowtail, and Bumble Bees. Individuals can grow to 3.3 feet.
