Stigmaphyllon microphyllum Griseb. Mem. Am Acad. II. 8 : 168. 1860.
Leaf-blades oblong, oval, suborbicular, or ovate, 0.6-2 cm. long, usually mucronate,
sparingly pubescent, at least when young, bright-green above, paler beneath, obtuse or
rounded at the base, short-petioled ; peduncles and pedicels sparingly pubescent ; sepals
and petals ovate to triangular-ovate, 2.5-3 mm. long, the glands one half as long as the
sepal-body or less ; larger petals 7.5-9 mm. long; samaras not seen.
Type locality : Cuba. Distribution : Cuba.
