Hexasepalum teres (Poorjoe) is a species of tree in the family Rubiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Distrito Federal, The Contiguous United States, Cerrado, Mato Grosso Do Sul, SãO Paulo, Alagoas, Rio De Janeiro, Piauí, Pernambuco, Bahia, Ceará, RondôNia, Tocantins, Mato Grosso, Pantanal, Paraná, Eastern North America, Maranhao, Santa Catarina, Pará, Sergipe, Rio Grande Do Sul, Minas Gerais, Caatinga, Amapá, GoiáS, Rio Grande Do Norte, Pampa, AmazôNia, ParaíBa, Acre (Brazil), Roraima, Espirito Santo, and Mata AtlâNtica. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Augochloropsis sumptuosa and Cabbage White Butterfly.
