Leaves erect or ascending, 3-9 cm. long, the blades ovate, often rhombic or deltoidovate, varying to oblong or orbicular-ovate, obtuse or acute, denticulate or sinuate-denticu-

late, or entire, glabrous or nearly so, truncate at the base, or abruptly narrowed into relatively slender petiole-like bases which sometimes exceed the blade in length ; scapes solitary or tufted, erect or assurgent, 11-32 cm. tall, roughly and rather evenly glandularpubescent throughout, green ; cymules aggregated into more or less compact clusters, terminating the slender branches of the inflorescence ; sepals triangular or ovate-triangular, 1-1.5 mm. long, erect, 3-veined, eciliate; petals white, cun eate-obovate to oblongor oval-obo vate , 2-3.5 mm. long, narrowed into rather broad claw-like bases; filaments subulate; follicles about 2 mm. high, green, the stout tips spreading.
Type locality: West Klickitat County, Washington. Distribution : Washington and Oregon.
