Valeriana polystachya is a species of shrub in the family Caprifoliaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Minas Gerais, Paraná, SãO Paulo, Mata Atlântica, Pampa, Rio Grande Do Sul, and Santa Catarina. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Secondary screwworm and Augochlora semiramis.
