Cecropia peltata (Yagrumo Hembra, Trumpet Tree) is a species of tree in the family Urticaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Costa Rica, Suriname, Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, Panama, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, Trinidad And Tobago, Colombia, Venezuela, Honduras, AmazôNia, Pará, AmazôNia, Roraima, and Acre (Brazil). They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 8.9 m.
