Rauvolfia nitida (Palo Amargo) is a species of tree in the family Apocynaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and drupes. Individuals can grow to 35 feet.
